Autumn trends in Gatta styling
Gatta – introduces twice a year new collection of tights and stockings. These collections are a response to the trends promoted during fashion shows, at the same time the company perfectly understands what Polish women like. However there questions such as: how to wear openwork tights? And how to put up these with graffiti motif? Joanna Horodyńska, the stylist who stylized the photo session for Gatta has an answer to that and many other questions.
Vintage mix… vintage chic
The 2010/11 fall/winter season brings about a rare mixture of styles. This season the trend shall be the exuberant and uninhibited approach to the term vintage. The 40's, 50's and 60's with a hint of modernity in pattern, texture and finally – colour. One can find here certain exaggeratedness without which this trend would not have sufficient push: perfect coiffure, cat eye glasses or enlarged in form of a long bag. Combination of geometric patterns shall be characteristic - dress and tights, and even a massive bag are permitted to have a similar texture. It is expedient to repeat the pattern on the blouse or a dress. The autumn's colours are muffled tones of navy, plum, army green, brown, orange, purple, red and classic black.
Grunge-baby doll
Grunge style is a top priority amongst this years autumn trends. Foremost it allows for free expression of oneself. However it is a more contemporary version of the style known in the 90's. Currently Grunge is seen both in the world of elegance as well as of the youthful and rebellious casualty. The “baby doll” version of grunge is the right style for a girl, light and fun, although similarly to the previous decade – slightly sinister. The colours range from brown, black, graffiti, bottle green.
The forms and layers of the dress are rather more concentrated on the upper part of the body – in fashion are the short tunics with lace elements, delicate wool, silk worn with simple, single colour leggings. A shear must are waistcoats, short coats resembling in form a miniature of a coat sometime a jacket which is too big.
Graffiti and the colour of the season
An inspiration for this trend is the vibrating city life and the street-art. Graffiti, wall art, street-art as abstract form appearing on the texture, creating a painting, contemporary landscape. This trend is an offer not only for brave women, which with distinct easiness select original solutions but also for those that seek to diversify their classical image. Abstractness looks very well on olive skirts, straight jackets or elegant handbags. Moreover, the graphic elements – in order to gently emphasise the trend – may use as a nuance a detail on the tight. The colour is then vieux, smoky so that it does not jar with its intensity or that it does not associate with op-art geometry. This season is to be smart, refined and glamorous. The colour this season are cherry, burgundy, navy cobalt, mustard, brown, which shall look best on a black background.
